Editorial Policy
Every guide on womensglp1guide.com is built on primary sources: the FDA label, the Medication Guide, the Instructions for Use and published studies. Each medical fact carries a numbered reference, every number is checked against its source a second time before the page goes live, and we update pages when labels, prices or the evidence change.
Where Our Facts Come From
We use the most direct source available for each type of fact.
| Type of fact | Sources we use |
|---|---|
| Approved uses, doses, side effects and warnings | Current FDA prescribing information and Medication Guide (via DailyMed and Drugs@FDA) |
| Injection steps, storage and device handling | The device's own Instructions for Use |
| Trial results | Peer-reviewed journal articles, ClinicalTrials.gov records and FDA review documents |
| Drug safety alerts and compounding rules | FDA safety communications, FDA web pages and the Federal Register |
| Nutrition and exercise | USDA FoodData Central, federal guidelines (CDC, NIH) and published clinical guidance |
| Prices, savings cards and coverage | Manufacturer program terms, CMS and Medicare pages, and insurer or pharmacy benefit documents |
We do not use forum posts, social media or personal stories as evidence. When a result comes only from a company press release or a conference presentation, we say so and treat it as preliminary until it is peer reviewed.
How We Write
- Label facts and general advice stay separate. When a statement comes from the FDA label, we say so. When it is general health advice from another source, we say that too.
- We report what is known and what is not. If we found no study on a question, we write "we found no study" rather than claiming none exists, and we describe the limits of weak evidence.
- Safety wording follows the Medication Guide. When a symptom needs urgent care, we use the same urgency the label uses.
- No personal dosing advice. We describe dose schedules as the label states them. Decisions about your dose belong to you and your prescriber.
- Plain language. We define medical terms the first time they appear and put the direct answer at the top of each section.
How We Check Every Page
Before a page goes live:
- Every number, dose, percentage and date is checked a second time against its original source.
- Comparisons between drugs are checked against the trials that compared them directly, so we do not claim "no head-to-head trial" when one exists.
- Device steps are matched to the current Instructions for Use for that exact device.
- Every reference link is opened to confirm it works and supports the statement it is attached to.
How We Keep Pages Current
GLP-1 labels, prices and coverage rules change often. We:
- recheck the FDA label and Medication Guide when we update a page; the reference list shows which label revision we used;
- recheck prices, savings programs and insurance rules regularly and before announced end dates;
- watch trial registries and journals for new results on drugs that are still in trials, and update the related pages when results are published.
Independence
We are not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Eli Lilly, Novo Nordisk or any other drug maker, pharmacy or healthcare organization. No drug maker reviews, approves or pays for our pages, and brand names appear only to identify the medicines we explain.
Images
Images on our pages are illustrations made for our guides. They do not show real patients, real results or a specific product package, and they are not medical instructions. When a step matters for safety, follow the text and your device's Instructions for Use.
Not Medical Advice
Our guides are for education. They do not replace a conversation with your doctor, nurse or pharmacist. Read our full medical disclaimer.
